The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi made the announcement officially for The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020. IIT-Delhi will be conducting examination for session 2019-20. The registrations will open from August 01, 2019. The process of registrations will be done online and the examinations too, will be online. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2020 will be conducted on February 01- 02, and February 08- 09, 2020.
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) serves as an entrance examination for admissions in post-graduate courses (M.Tech./Ph.D.) in IITs, IISc and various other Universities, Institutes or Laboratories in India. Also the GATE score is being used as one of the criteria for Government organizations recruitment in such as Cabinet Secretariat and National/ State Public Sector Undertakings in India.
GATE is jointly administered by IISc and Seven Indian Institute of Technology (IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee). The exam will cover 23 papers (disciplines) and will be taken as an Online Computer-based Test (CBT). The registration for it can only be done through GOAPS, which opens in the month of August/September.
GATE 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants will eligible for GATE 2020 if fulfil the following Criteria.
|Academic Qualification||Applicants must have passed their graduation or must be in the final year of their their Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology or Master’s degree in any relevant science stream.|
|Age Limit||No age limit, means all ages all allowed for GATE 2020|
Applicants should have passed B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch./B.Pharma or M.Sc./M.A/MCA and Integrated M.E./M.Tech or dual degree, Integrated M.E/M.Tech after B.Sc. with good marks from a recognized university.

GATE 2020 Admit Card
As per the brochure, the GATE 2020 admit cards were to be uploaded on the official website on 5th January, however, the applicants can access the admit cards from today. The exam is scheduled to be held in February across selected cities in India. It is conducting at International Centers in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates as well.
To download GATE Admit Card, the candidates will be required to enter their enrolment id/ email address, password and solve a simple maths question. Upon entering the correct credentials, they will be redirected to the account panel and will be able to download the Hall Ticket.

Exam Pattern of GATE
The aspiring candidates should start preparing for GATE well in advance. GATE 2020 would consist of 65 questions, out of which 10 questions will belong to General Aptitude (GA) section. GA section would have five 1-mark questions and five 2-marks questions. The paper would carry maximum 100 marks distributed among multiple choice as well as numerical answer type questions.
It is an online computer-based test (CBT), under which 23 disciplines are covered. The candidates are required to attempt the examination in 3 hours. GATE can be only attempt through computer-based mode where the assistance of the virtual calculator is allow. Apart from the subject paper, the candidates will have to solve question on General Aptitude as well.

Answer Key of GATE 2020
The official GATE answer key 2020 will released by IIT Delhi in last week of February. It will release along with response sheet of candidates. The organising institute for GATE 2020 will uploaded the answer keys for all branches and sets. Candidates may view their answer keys at the official website and also view their responses to the question paper by login.
GATE Result 2020 & Score Card
What’s in the result: The candidates who qualified the GATE held February, their result will be declared on March 16, 2020. Aspirants will also able to check their scores. The GATE score card will be displayed at the official website until 15 days from the day of result declaration. And the candidates who have qualified the exam will also be view their All India Rank (AIR) obtained in GATE 2020.
The aspirants who are planning to take GATE this year must remember that admission will only be done if the candidates will fulfil all the eligibility criteria of the examination.
